Becky and Jeff were excited when they found out Becky was expecting. From the moment little Ryan was born, his parents loved him and were in awe as new parents. Over time, Ryan has developed quite the personality. He likes to rest his hands behind his head when he is tired, just like his Auntie. His daycare calls him Grandpa for this very reason. He is also very social. His newest skill is waving at every person he passes. As Ryan was approaching one year old, his parents suddenly knew all the clichés were true: A year goes by so fast.
In celebration of Ryan’s 1st birthday (and their first year as parents!), Becky scheduled a cake smash session with KM Photography. Having loved our work, Becky was happy to support her childhood friend’s business. Ryan had a good breakfast and was well rested; ready for his session! Like most one year olds, he didn’t sit still for long but we got great smiles from him during his traditional session. Then, during the cake smash, he sat and devoured the cake like an expert! His parents were nervous about whether he would cry too much or move too much, but said, “Kirsten was great with getting his attention and getting him to smile”.
In the end, the Weeks’ family had a wonderful session that captured Ryan the Lion's personality at one. They have digital files to share with loved ones and the opportunity to purchase archival, legacy art that can be passed down to Ryan and his own children. Creating art is important to KM Photography and creating art for old friends is even more special!
Oh, look! Here he comes! This post will be jam packed with pictures, way more then usual. I just can't choose my favorites! Notice the three balloons? We started with more...
Apparently, the only thing my fat baby (yes, mine...that is why I can't choose my favorite pictures!) loves more then cake is popping balloons.
Once he was done with his balloon carnage, he found his prize...the cake! Yummy!
This isn't just any old cake though. It was made by my wonderful friend, Rose, from Shiny Ball Creations right here in Attleboro. I think Mason agreed, it was almost too good to smash. But, it sure does taste good!
Soon, the cake was destroyed and Mason had his fill. On to bath time! Let me just put out a warning.... Scrolling down may be hazardous to your health. Some of the upcoming pictures contain naked baby booty...view at your own risk! Major cuteness ahead.
Mason was not a fan of standing in the tub, but he did get a kick out of scrubbing himself with the bubbles.
And, don't say I didn't warn you....check out those rolls!
I am a photographer in Plainville, MA serving southeastern Massachusetts, RI, and southern NH. I have a deep passion for capturing memories. Each photograph freezes a moment in time so that it may never be forgotten. I hope to create legacies that tell stories for generations.
