Glad to see you again, loyal blog readers! I'm back again with another session featuring the oh-so-charming Kenna Jaymes. Kenna’s parents, Kate and Brian, were lucky enough to win a milestone session for Kenna, who was about to turn 9 months old. I think I was pretty lucky, too. They are such a sweet family! Miss Kenna loves Mickey and Minnie- who helped Kenna smile during her session. She loves to sing so we played music and sang along during her session. Speaking of Kenna's mom, Kate did a fabulous job prepping her for this 9 month milestone session. She was very easy going, allowing me to help style the classic session. We got to use some new backdrops, props, and a couple outfits from my studio collection, as well as the adorable green outfit that Kenna brought with her. Kate and Brian even brought a balloon, which Kenna had loads of fun with! Anyway, I'll get straight to it. Check out pictures of little Kenna below: P.S. Want to learn more about my milestone packages? Check out all the details here. Email me to learn about individual milestone session prices as well. ![]()

Lately, the KM Photography blog theme is LOTS of photos! I have had so many great sessions recently and I want to share them all with you. This session was no different and very special for me. I got a chance to work with the Magic Hour Foundation and donate a full family session for the Laferriere family (Jess, Brian, and Averie), who came to visit me in my Attleboro studio. I want to share some of my favorites from their session. Jess admitted that she was a bit nervous about the session, but at the end she told me how much fun she had (YES!). I enjoyed meeting her and her family and seeing them interact. All three of them were so sweet and the love between them was apparent. I think you'll agree that their love and fun personalities show through their portraits! The Magic Hour Foundation is one that pairs those in the fight against cancer with photographers for charitable photo sessions. The families receive digital images from their sessions, as long a beautiful box containing their prints. When I first started my business, I looked for a foundation to donate my time. Volunteerism is a big part of my life. My grandmother was one of my best friends and role models. She was always volunteering her time, even while battling lung cancer, until she was too ill to continue. Because of that, the Magic Hour Foundation was a perfect fit. It is near to my heart to give the gift of portraits to families affected by cancer and allowing their legacy to continue for generations through portraits. Jessica is a wife, mother, former US Marine, and also studied to be a dental hygienist! She lives with her husband, Brian, and young daughter, Averie. In July 2016, at the age of 33, she was diagnosed with stage 2b invasive ductal carcinoma. She was also a brand new mother of a 9 month old at the time of her diagnosis. In September, just 4 days after Averie's 1st birthday , she went in to have her right breast removed. She completed 8 rounds of chemo on 1/31/17 and 33 rounds of radiation on 5/18/17! It’s been quite the year, but she is still alive and enjoying her life and family! She is truly a strong woman and a survivor.
![]() The first time I met Audriana, I thought she was the absolute sweetest little girl. Gorgeous and tiny...a sweet little voice. I would soon realize, there is more to this little girl then sugar...she has some spice too! I don't think Audriana's parents will have to worry much about her when she gets older because this girl is MIGHTY and STRONG. At a summertime cookout, Audriana and my son Mason slowly warmed up to each other and played side by side. They may be less then a month apart, but what Mason lacked in communication skills compared to Audri, he made up for is SIZE! Soon, they both had their hearts set on the same power wheel. Audriana was in it, then Mason was in it...slowly building up tension. Before we knew it, Audriana was yanking Mason out by his shirt and then Mason was climbing the hood trying to get back at her. Never in my life was I so scared but also so amused! After that day, I was sure these two would never be friends, but low and behold, they get so excited to see one another! These tough cookies certainly impressed one another and I think they will have each other's backs for a longtime. Happy Birthday, Audriana! Each year you grow, you are closer to becoming an amazing young lady! |
