Little Miss Emerson...what can I say...the girl has personality! At just 10 days new, she was the most alert and curious newborn I have ever had the pleasure of photographing. She was interesting in lifting her head to peer around. I think she is preparing to be on her toes as the fourth little girl in her family!
She fooled me with big yawns a few times, but she did eventually fall asleep when swaddled tight. I think she wanted to be part of the experience and not miss a thing! It was a pleasure to photograph Emerson and her family, here in my Attleboro, MA studio. I can't wait to see how her personality blooms as she grows! Please enjoy a sampling of her newborn gallery!

As a child, I looked forward to summer vacations on the Cape every year. It wasn't necessarily where we went, though I love that salty air, but it was about with whom I spent my time. My family would pack up and stay with an aunt and uncle and two cousins at their cabin in Wellfleet. Sometimes, my grandparents would come by as well. Each year we were a little older, but not much changed. It was comforting to see those same sights.
When I got the chance to do an extended family session at Onset Beach, I was thrilled! Everyone gathering together on summer vacation gave me a warm sense of nostalgia. I hope that when this lovely family looks over their images year after year, they have that same sense of nostalgia as well. It has been about five months since little Miss Kennedy's newborn session and I was honored to capture her blessing. Her baptism took place in a small, historic church: the Seamen's Bethel in New Bedford, Massachusetts, while surrounded by her very loving family and godparents.
Last weekend, I had the wonderful opportunity to document a 50th anniversary party in Brookline. As with a lot of places I have been lately, I enjoyed driving somewhere new and meeting new people. Not only was it great to get in some candid shooting, but I really enjoy watching people interact, and they had plenty of guests! This family was purely wonderful to get to know. Take another look at this picture...see the shark. It was important for them to have him in the picture. I really want to know what the inside joke is about the shark! The McConnell's and their family love to laugh...and I laughed right along with them! Fifty years is an inspiring accomplishment. It isn't hard to see all the love within their family, that started with this couple fifty years ago. Congratulations, Mike & Mary! Enjoy many, many more years of happiness!
